Martial Arts Class Testing this Wednesday (5/6)

The following announcement is from Dawn Childers, the Martial Arts Teacher:

Testing will be offered to PALS students on Wednesday May 6 at 11:30 and 1:30.

The testing fee is $60 and due on or before the day of testing.  This program and the testing are about building the student’s confidence and work ethic.  By testing and receiving their belt which will be white with a black stripe they learn that putting the time and effort in they achieve their goal (the belt).

The next session we plan on offering a beginner’s class and an advanced class.  To attend the advanced class, the student would need to pass the beginner’s class belt test.

If you do not intend to have your child test, you may want to consider them missing this class so they are not disappointed and confused that the other children are being promoted.  If they do understand that you are choosing not to have them test not based on their effort put forth they are welcome to participate in the testing understanding that they are doing a walk through and will not be receiving a belt.

Id’ like to clarify why the testings are handled in this manner.  Choi Kwang Do schools are affiliated with headquarters located in Atlanta Georgia and all testing fees are paid form our school to headquarters.  It is an honor system, of which we have agreed to follow.

We offer a home school program on Mondays.  The current class is held at 11:30 am on Mondays at our location in Mt. Lebanon.  An additional class at 12:30 might be offered depending on the interest in the class.  PALS members will be able to attend our classes on Wednesday for free during the next session as long as their membership at the dojang is paid monthly.  If you are interested, please fill out and submit the REGISTRATION FORM.

Thank you for participating in our program.
